How to find TikTok and Instagram creators for free on Microinfluencer
Cameron Blackwood

Great news! With Microinfluencer, you can find and analyse creators for free according to your campaign brief.
What Free includes
Current plans (August 2026):
| On Free | Limit |
|---|---|
| Creator Discovery Agent | 1 search per month, up to 5 keyword searches, TikTok or Instagram |
| Username analyses | 5 per month across both platforms |
| Advanced analytics reports | 20 |
| Card | None |
Tracking creators to a saved watchlist is Pro. Deeper agent searches (6 to 15 keyword searches) are Pro. Unlimited searches are Pro.
1. Create a free account
Sign up with Google, and tell us a bit about your business and the kind of creators you want to work with.
If you already have an account, go straight to Creator Discovery Agent.
2. Spend the brief, not the search
On the free plan, you get one agent search a month. A vague brief wastes it, so be careful!
Cover product, audience, creator style, deliverable, and constraints in a few sentences. For example:
We sell a lightweight running shoe for people training for their first 10K. We want TikTok creators who already post easy training plans, gear checks, or race-week routines. Deliverable: one 20-30 second video showing the shoe on a real run. US or UK, English, roughly 5k-80k followers.
More on that in how to write a creator campaign brief. Skip budget, hashtag dumps, and "we want influencers." Those do not help ranking.
3. Run Creator Discovery Agent
On the agent page:
- Paste the brief.
- Choose TikTok or Instagram.
- Leave search depth at 5 keyword searches unless you want a faster, narrower pass. If you want to do a deeper search, you can upgrade to Pro for unlimited searches and 15 keywords per search.
- Submit.
The agent turns the brief into live keyword searches, pulls matching creators, and ranks them with an AI campaign-fit score. That takes a few minutes, but you can close the tab and come back later!
4. Turn results into a shortlist
The agent gives you a ranked list of creators, and will discount low-fit creators from the list completely.
- Sort with your eye on campaign fit, then engagement and view-to-follow, not follower count.
- Narrow with filters (followers, engagement, region) so you are not scrolling noise.
- Open the analysis on people who look like a fit. Free includes 20 advanced reports. Those cover engagement, view-to-follow, topics, and why they matched the brief.
- Open their TikTok or Instagram profile in a new tab and watch a couple of posts before you DM anyone.
If you close the tab without capturing names, you still have Past Matches for that one search.
5. Stretch Free without another agent search
Used all your searches? Here are some other ways to find creators:
- Niche directories. Public lists by category (running, golf, streetwear, and others). Use them when you want a starting point in a known niche and you have not used the agent yet, or after you have spent the search.
- Username analysis. Paste a handle into the TikTok or Instagram analyzer. Free allows 5 per month. Use this on creators you already found (a competitor's tag, a newsletter rec, a DM inbound), not as your main discovery loop.
- Past Matches. Re-read this month's agent results instead of running a new campaign.
So why upgrade to Pro?
- Unlimited searches. Run TikTok and Instagram in the same month, or spin up a new brief when the first one is off. You are not waiting for the next billing cycle.
- Deeper searches. Pro can run 6 to 15 keyword searches per campaign, so the agent covers more of the niche instead of the first five queries.
- Tracked creators. Save people from agent results to a watchlist and come back to their stats later, instead of pasting handles into a spreadsheet.
Pro is $9.99/month (or $99.99/year). Fair use applies. Run the free search first if you have not used this month's campaign yet.
